Kartik Bhardwaj - Head Chef  
Kartik's culinary journey at Nomi in Pwllheli, North Wales, draws from his childhood in a small Indian village, where he watched his grandfather and community come together for celebratory cooking. His unexpected shift to becoming a chef in 2020 was a leap of faith, guided by necessity. At Nomi, he brings a refined balance of flavors to Indian cuisine, creating a menu that moves beyond traditional curry house offerings, winning hearts with innovative, soulful dishes.
Beyond the kitchen, Kartik’s passion for wine led him to earn the WSET Level 2 certification, enhancing Nomi’s dining experience with thoughtful pairings. His deep roots in hospitality—with roles at the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and The Stratford, London—have shaped his commitment to exceptional service. At Nomi, he seamlessly blends his culinary expertise, wine knowledge, and hospitality experience to craft a dining experience that’s as refined as it is memorable.
